Our executive team sets the company’s strategic direction and operational framework based on their extensive aviation and business backgrounds. They are positioning FlightWorks as a world-class aviation solutions and services provider, delivering uncompromised safety, exceptional quality, and unrivaled service.

There are a relatively small number of individuals in the business aviation community that have transformed themselves from the cockpit to the boardroom successfully. Daniel Lucey is one of those people, having crafted his aviation career around three basic principles: people, planning and process.

With more than twenty years of industry experience, Dan's efforts focus on profitable business strategies and solid business fundamentals for long-term growth while ensuring safety and service quality remains at the highest levels in the industry. In addition to his role as President, he also is a member of the FlightWorks board of directors.

Dan has a career path that is rare among aviation leaders. He spent a decade with NetJets, garnering five type ratings and 11,000 hours of accident and incident free flight time. His career at NetJets culminated with his assignment to Chief Pilot at the age of 33, where he was responsible for over 2,000 pilots and 400 aircraft. In addition, Dan created the aircraft management division for Flight Options, where he served as the General Manager of Aircraft Management Programs.

Dan's education includes a B.S. degree in Aviation Management and Flight Technology with honors from the Florida Institute of Technology. In addition, he earned his MBA from Franklin University and was elected a Leadership Scholar as the top student in his class. He is also an active business aviation advocate, serving on several board of directors, participating in numerous aviation related associations and serving as an FAA ARC committee member.

Bill Lewis serves as Chief Financial Officer for FlightWorks. Mr. Lewis' career includes twenty-five years of senior financial management experience, primarily assisting medium-sized companies successfully transition through periods of rapid growth and development. Prior to joining FlightWorks, Mr. Lewis was the Director of Finance for the online bill payment leader, CheckFree Corporation. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Jacksonville University and is a certified CPA.

Johan Segring, Vice President of Business and Information Systems, is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the information technology infrastructure for the FlightWorks enterprise. He directs, develops and designs customized applications for use in conjunction with enterprise systems to increase efficiencies within FlightWorks business processes. FlightWorks IT department provides ongoing service enrichment to our clients, both internal and external. Prior to his employment with FlightWorks, Mr. Segring held positions as an Information Technology Specialist with Pentastar Aviation, Customer Service Manager with US Airways and Director of Charter Sales for InterAir of Sweden. He graduated from Western Michigan University's College of Aviation with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management and is a licensed Aircraft Dispatcher. He is also actively involved in the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC-Georgia).

In his role as Vice President of Operations, Jay oversees both flight operations and technical services. Jay has served over 20 years in aviation leadership positions, including Vice President of Operations, Flight Department Manager and Chief Pilot. As an ATP-rated pilot, Jay has accumulated over 7,000 accident and incident-free flight hours in various turbojet and turboprop aircraft.

Jay is a firm believer in the highest safety and industry standards, having implemented a robust Safety Management System and achieved the highest accreditations from Wyvern, ARG/US, ACSF and IS-BAO. Furthermore, he was one of the first 25 NBAA Certified Aviation Managers (CAM), which demonstrates Jay's commitment to continuous improvement.

Colby McDowell, Director of Commercial Sales, oversees the growth of FlightWorks' brand nationwide including private aircraft charter, management, and consulting. With an industry background that includes sales and management positions at fractional ownership operators CitationAir by Cessna and Flight Options, as well as operational experience with Continental Express Airlines, Colby has a deep knowledge of all facets of aviation and a proven track record of success. After growing up around aviation he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Auburn University. Mr. McDowell is dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to our owners and customers as he works to grow our business and market share.

Joe Dombroski, Director of Government Services / Business Development, provides strategic and operational leadership in expanding domestic and international government contract markets for aviation operations with the Department of Defense (DOD), OGA, Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and large government prime defense contractors. He is responsible for key relationship development, joint ventures and strategic alliances. Mr. Dombroski brings over 30 years of accomplished law enforcement and business development experience to the FlightWorks team.

Before joining FlightWorks, Mr. Dombroski served as Business Development Lead for Northrop Grumman, where he directed business development with the DOD's Counter Narcotics Technology Program Office IDIQ (CNTPO). He also served for 25 years as a domestic and foreign US Drug Enforcement Agent and supervisor. Mr. Dombroski graduated from Kings College and is active in several industry-related and law enforcement retiree organizations.
